Staff Product Manager, Sourcing & Job Board

Job description

Xometry is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the strategy and lead the development of Sourcing and the Job Board: the systems that determine how manufacturing jobs are matched to partners so they win work that first their shop, succeed, and grow their business, while maximizing xometry's sourcing margin.ย  This is the commercial engine of the partner marketplace.ย  Sourcing matches partner capability data to part and offer data and governs the priority and timing by which partners are shown available jobs.ย  The Job Board is the surface where partners browse, evaluate and then accept/decline/bid/give feedback on the offers Xometry presents.

The role sits at the intersection of partner performance, marketplace margin, and job quality, and it directly shapes how efficiently supply meets demand across a marketplace where thousands of partners take jobs every week. It is a senior individual-contributor position: the mandate is to own a major product domain end to end, set the technical product direction, and move the metrics that define marketplace health, chief among them sourcing margin, the number of partners actively taking jobs, and the quality of the matches partners receive.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Own the multi-year strategic vision and roadmap for Sourcing and the Job Board, aligning matching and marketplace-liquidity strategy with Xometry's margin and growth objectives
  • Drive the design and evolution of the matching and recommendation engine that pairs partner capabilities with the right jobs, along with the priority-scheduling logic that governs which partners see which offers, and when
  • Own the job acceptance funnel end to end: grow the number of partners viewing the Job Board and raise the share who accept, spanning discovery, evaluation, and the accept, decline, and feedback loop that turns served offers into taken jobs
  • Partner with the Pricing and Machine Learning teams to influence dynamic pricing and matching strategy. This role shapes and informs pricing and model direction; it does not own pricing
  • Balance competing objectives across partner performance, margin, and quality, making principled tradeoffs when they conflict (for example, widening job distribution to lower time-to-take without degrading match quality or partner outcomes)
  • Establish and monitor the KPIs that define marketplace health: sourcing margin, time to take, partners per job, eyes on jobs, served rate, and conversion. Conduct deep analysis to surface and prioritize the highest-leverage opportunities to compress time-to-take and expand liquidity
  • Ground decisions in behavioral data and continuous partner feedback, closing the loop between what the algorithm serves and how partners actually respond on the board
  • Drive adoption of new matching logic and Job Board capabilities through rigorous experimentation, thoughtful rollout, and clear partner communication
  • Provide technical product leadership and craft mentorship to Product Managers across Partner Experience, raising the bar without direct management authority
  • Serve as the primary product voice for Sourcing and the Job Board to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

What You'll Bring to Xometry:

  • 7+ years of progressive product management experience, with a strong track record in marketplaces, matching or recommendation systems, or marketplace optimization problems
  • Direct experience building or optimizing two-sided marketplace mechanics (supply-demand matching, liquidity, ranking, or recommendation systems). This is the core of the role
  • Demonstrated success shipping complex, high-scale features in operational, marketplace, or B2B environments with clear and measurable business impact
  • Expert-level analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to reason about algorithmic systems, interpret complex behavioral and financial data, and build rigorous business cases
  • Ability to partner credibly with Machine Learning and Pricing teams: enough fluency in how models and pricing logic work to influence and direct them without owning them
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to align stakeholders from engineering teams to the executive level
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously as a senior individual contributor, taking full ownership of a major product domain and driving both its strategy and execution
  • Nice to have: exposure to dynamic pricing, manufacturing or supply chain, or complex logistics tooling

The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $180,000-$207,000 annually + bonus, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location. We also offer a competitive benefits package, including 401(k) match, medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability insurance; generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, floating and fixed holidays, maternity and bonding leave; an EAP; and other wellbeing resources.
