Job description

Position Summary... What you'll do...What you'll do This role will be a key member of the Marketplace Payments team with a focus on Payments and Financial Operations for Marketplace Sellers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing payment strategies that strengthen settlement operations, reduce financial losses, improve seller payment experiences, and drive operational excellence through data-driven insights.
  • Execute initiatives to reduce payment losses, chargebacks, settlement leakage, and operational inefficiencies through data-driven analysis
  • Analyze payment trends, identify root causes, and recommend actionable improvements to strengthen Marketplace payment performance
  • Develop, validate, and optimize settlement rules and operational controls to mitigate payment fraud and financial exposure
  • Lead end-to-end analytical projects that improve seller payment experience, operational efficiency, and payment integrity.
  • Build scalable dashboards, KPIs, and automated reporting to monitor payment health, operational metrics, and financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual payment operations and reconciliation processes
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Trust & Safety, Performance, Partner Operations, Finance, and Risk teams to execute payment initiatives
  • Translate business challenges into actionable insights and recommendations that improve operational performance and support business growth

 Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • At least 3 years of industry experience preferably in Payments, eCommerce, Risk, Financial Services, or similar space
  • Proven experience partnering with Product and Technology teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives and influence business outcomes
  • Advanced understanding of SQL and working with large datasets
  • Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc.
  • High proficiency with Excel based data analysis
  • Experience leading analytical projects from problem definition through implementation with measurable business impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
