Looking to join a passionate team dedicated to developing and manufacturing life-saving biopharmaceuticals? Avid Bioservices is a leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO focused on creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and improve patient outcomes.
Your Role:
The Sr. Director, Business Systems and Program Management,will lead enterprise-level program governance and execution across customer projects, operational excellence initiatives, and technology transformation programs. Reporting to the Chief Technology & Transformation Officer, this role will ensure alignment of strategic priorities, provide robust program management tools and processes, and drive governance across the transformation portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Project Management Support
  • Serve as a senior resource to assist Customer Project Management groups with tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Act as a customer-facing project manager when needed to ensure delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
Transformation Program Oversight
  • Track and report progress on technology transformation initiatives, including LIMS, VEEVA, and other digital platforms.
  • Monitor operational debottlenecking programs and ensure timely execution of improvement projects.
  • Create linkage between operational excellence projects and the Scale-Up and Scale-Out program for strategic alignment.
Governance and Reporting
  • Establish and maintain governance meetings across the entire transformation portfolio.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into program status, risks, and outcomes.
Business Process Development
  • Support the Transformation Officer in designing and rolling out enterprise business processes and site governance frameworks.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance across sites for process adoption and governance standards.
Operational Excellence
  • Track and report on operational excellence projects, including KPIs and measurable results.
  • Drive continuous improvement culture through structured program management and stakeholder engagement.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, degree to preferably be in business or STEM.
  • Extensive experience in program and project management within biopharma or CDMO environments.
  • Strong knowledge of digital transformation tools (e.g., LIMS, VEEVA) and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site programs and governance structures.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Master's degree or MBA
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time onsite position at either our Tustin or Irvine, CA location. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm PST unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. The employee must also have the ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
The compensation range for this role is $203,200 - $254,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.
