- Contributes to strategic planning by identifying opportunities, risks, and long-term policy trends, and supporting advocacy strategies and organizational positioning.
- Monitors government announcements, legislative sessions, and sector developments, maintaining situational awareness across the policy landscape.
- Flags emerging issues requiring executive attention and maintains an issues tracker with status, risks, and recommended actions.
- Drafts speeches, talking points, meeting notes, and correspondence for government officials and stakeholders, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in public policy, political science, government relations, economics, business, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in policy analysis, government relations, public affairs, or a related discipline.
- Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to see the big picture, anticipate implications, and connect policy developments to organizational priorities.
- Analytical rigor, with comfort navigating ambiguity, complex data, and multi-variable decision environments.
- Executive communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, persuasive, and decision-oriented writing.
