Job description

Job Title: Public Health Analyst
Clearance Required: Public Trust – Federal Client requires US Citizenship
Work Location: Hybrid, Atlanta, GA

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Public Health Analyst to join our talented and innovative team supporting a project in Atlanta, GA. This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine data management tasks (data cleaning, data processing, merging data files).
  • Perform complex and advanced statistical analyses. Prepare reports, manuscripts, briefing materials, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of data management and data analyses plans; procedures for data collection (including recommendations among different sampling plans, data sources, and cost/time investments).
  • Prepare written reports explaining data analysis.

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of public health promotion programs
  • Conduct analysis and interpretation of data using SAS, R, SPSS
  • Proficiency with a data visualization platform, such as PowerBI, or Tableau
  • Detail oriented and able to create meticulous documentation of variables, datasets and data attributes with a commitment to generating accurate data and products.
  • Ability to create tables, figures, and summaries for reports
  • Proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Ability to follow established analytic plans and support development of new analyses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • R and Python skills are preferred for data management and basic statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of behavioral and social science research methods
  • Experience supporting research reports, presentations, or manuscripts
  • Familiarity with data analysis software such as NVivo
  • Familiarity with survey data and weighting concepts

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, Statistics, or related field OR Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience OR Master’s degree and two (2) years of experience OR PhD 

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
