Job description

The Behavioral Health Care Therapist plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered behavioral health services within a community health setting. As a licensed LMSW, LPC, or LPC-A/LAC, this position functions as a key member of the interdisciplinary health care team, providing therapeutic interventions and support to patients across the lifespan.

The Behavioral Health Care Therapist is responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing individual, family, and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention and counseling. This role collaborates closely with medical providers, patients, families, and community resources to support recovery, improve patient outcomes, and address the social and emotional factors impacting health. The therapist maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation, upholds the highest standards of professional practice, and contributes to a compassionate, recovery-focused care environment.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university from one of the following: Masters in Social Work, Masters in Psychology, Masters in Counseling
  • Current license in the state of Texas or Arkansas (whichever is applicable to the position) as a Licensed Master's Social Worker, Licensed Professtional Counselor - Associate, or Licensed Associate Counselor

Preferred:

  • Trauma, PTSD REcovery Experience
