Th successful andidate will play a vital rle in a well-estblishd, bilingual (French-English) prgram that is internatinally acreditd and currently srves apprimtly 100 studnts. Applicants shuld pssess rlevnt teching eperine nnected t the Schl's Master's program in Infrmtin Studies, alng with demnstrted pertise in library and infrmatin scine r in speific rsearch reas, including information resource discovery; library administration, human rsurcs, and peratins; marketing and prmtin f infrmatin rganizatins; library cllectin management; information seeking behvir; mmunity ngagement; nti-racism in infrmtin studies; and, accss nd srvies fr divers populations.

ESIS is ne f nly ight infrmatin scinc schls in Canda redited by the Amrin Librry Asscitin (ALA). The Shl offers a Master in Infrmatin Studies program (cursewrk, c-p, and thesis ptins) available n a full-tim or part-tim basis, Graduate Diplm in Infrmatin Management, and partiipates in an intrdisiplinry dctral prgram in Digital Transfrmtin and Innvatin. Graduates f th prgram find emplyment in public, acadmic, and spializd librries, inluding institutins such as the Library f Prliamnt and th Supreme Curt f Canda, as well as in gvrnment infrmatin mangement nd archives.

A dediatin t dvaning the disipline and nhancing the cadmi unit, including graduate prgrams, is required. Therefre, the idl candidate shuld hve a wll-estblishd rsearch initiative that eithr includes seuring grants frm funding bdies r pssesss a clear strategy fr developing n active rsrch program.

Th selctd candidt will be taskd with teaching grduat curses in bth French nd English.

Salary: The starting salary for an Assistant Professor is $99,377 (according to the scale in effect as of May 1, 2025).
