This is a remote role with minimal travel to business units located in MO, KS, WI, MI, IL, CO. The Finance Manger works closely with our RVP, VPO and RDOs providing financial oversight, guidance and management to 70 healthcare dining accounts with 40 contracts. Position will be based in St. Louis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Chicago or Denver (preferably close to the business units that the Finance Manager supports).

Job Summary
Primary responsibilities of the Regional Finance Manager will include oversight of all accounting and financial activity within the region including monthly reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Additionally, the Regional Finance Manager will be responsible for monitoring internal control and providing training and development for region leaders and operations teams.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manages the preparation of monthly analysis of revenue, cost of goods sold, labor and operational expenses against prior year and budget, providing explanations and business solutions to help mitigate any costs or risks at the unit.
  • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets.
  • Identify issues with billing, collections and financial processing within the unit and propose mediation.
  • Validate dashboard data and ensure accuracy of data in comparison to general ledger.
  • Support month end closing process and perform variance analysis of key drivers of results including unallocated food costs and payroll metrics.
  • Perform analytics and establish benchmarks for key drivers of existing business.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
  • Ensure training and development related to financials of all region leaders and operations team members.
  • Assists with new business methodology and proposal preparation.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed. Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred, or equivalent experience
  • MBA or CPA beneficial but not required.
  • Work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods.
  • Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience with SAP, Essbase and dashboard development preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
