Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Financial Planning and Analysis manager’s main role is to translate financial data and results into performance metrics and actionable items to assist the Bank with achieving its overall financial goals. The FP&A manager will play key roles in the Bank’s annual budget process, forecasting process and line of business profitability analysis.

Primary Objectives:

  • Support Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Provides in-depth Line of Business budgeting and monthly forecasting support, establishing timelines for completion and presenting results regularly to executive management
  • The key driver in the annual budget, quarterly forecast and the three-year strategic planning process
  • Develops complex financial models to direct future business ventures, new products, strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Review reports on historical and future trends in performance and returns to determine appropriate paths for financial development
  • Prepares accurate board and management reporting, company metrics and competitive benchmarking
  • Develops profitability metrics and KPIs to provide a benchmark for a future line of business growth
  • Meeting and presenting financial results to senior leaders on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Support the Bank’s M&A activity, including due diligence, forecasting and post-close analytics

  • 5 years of related experience with financial institutions in Finance/Accounting required, FP&A specific experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of bank FTP, capital and cost allocation methodologies
  • Advanced financial modeling experience required
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Experience with Axiom Financial Reporting preferred
  • Ability to extract and analyze data from various sources required
  • SQL and Microsoft Excel Power Query preferred
