Exercise Physiologist multiple locations
Scope of Work
Job duties may include any of the following and vary by site. See site specific addendums (if available) for details.
Supervises cardiovascular stress tests for individuals with and without chronic disease in order to obtain reliable and valid data. Testing includes GXTs, Stress Echocardiograms, and Nuclear MPIs both exercise and pharmacological. Provides the placement/service of Holter Monitors, Event Monitors, and 12 lead EKGs for outpatients. Responsible for uploading monitor reports in Epic.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • ECG interpretation experience required.
  • A minimum 2 years experience or successful completion of a 600-hour clinical internship in the cardiac rehab setting may be required dependent on job location within the system.
  • Current BLS Certification- required; Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support- preferred (may be required at specific sites); ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional within one year of employment.
