Job description

SUMMARY: Flexologists facilitate customized mobility programs that help members to increase their range of motion, reduce pain, and eliminate joint stiffness. This is a great role for recent Exercise Science and Kinesiology Graduates!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform customized, one-on-one, 25- or 50-minute hands-on assisted stretches (static and dynamic) to enhance client range of motion.
  • Guide and educate clients, encouraging them to reach their mobility goals while ensuring safety.
  • Build memberships and retain current clientele by educating clients on the value of regular, professional stretching and encouraging recurring appointments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized studio environment and keep equipment in top condition.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and current Fitness Certification in Yoga, Personal Training, Massage Therapy or related area OR B.S. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physical Therapy or related field required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the health and wellness field.
  • Ability to attend and successfully complete StretchLab’s Flexologist Training Program, which includes a three day paid in-person training program as well as 20 hours of online tutorials and 20 hours of supervised stretching.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Ability to commit to a 20-25 hour weekly schedule comprised of 4-hour minimum shifts.
  • Must be fluent in the English language.
  • Enthusiasm in promoting stretching, mobility and flexibility in a boutique fitness environment.
