Job Requirements
POSITION SUMMARY
To be fully engaged in Health First's commitments to delivering quality care and customer experience by servicing members' needs through orientation, education, instruction, and evaluation in the area of health and fitness.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Consulting with clients to understand their goals and fitness path
  2. Creating an exercise program that is safe for each client based on their limitations and abilities.
  3. Follows proper club management application protocol to schedule clients and are punctual for all appointments
  4. Follow procedures for client payment using the club management application
  5. Work with staff and leadership to build new programming outside of one-on-one training
  6. Work with leadership to create opportunity to increase clientele.
  7. Report any customer and/or safety concerns to Pro-Health leadership.

Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensure: None Required
  • Certification:
  1. Must hold current American Heart Association's Heartsaver CPR & AED Program Card prior to start date
  2. Personal Training Certification through approved national professional organization. ** (preferably ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, or NASM) or a bachelor's degree in exercise science or similar.
  • Work Experience: previous experience working with clients and/or involvement in a hands on experience via certification process or internship.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: No additional education required
  • Licensure: NA
  • Certification: Must hold current American Heart Association's Heartsaver CPR & AED Program Card prior to start date
  • Personal Training Certification through approved national professional organization. ** (preferably ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, or NASM) or a bachelor's degree in exercise science or similar.
  • Work Experience: One year of experience personal training after obtaining personal training certification and/or exercise science degree or 6 months experience as an Exercise Tech at Pro-Health

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be capable of standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be capable of lifting in excess of 50lbs
