Description
The College of Science and Humanities at Husson University invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty pool in Exercise Science. This posting will remain open for up to one year to build a pool of qualified candidates who may be considered for future teaching opportunities as departmental needs arise.
The Exercise Science program prepares students for careers and advanced study in exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, health promotion, rehabilitation, allied health professions, and related fields. We seek educators who are committed to student-centered teaching and helping students develop the scientific knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies necessary to promote health, fitness, performance, and wellbeing.
Assignments may include day or evening courses and are expected to be delivered on Husson University's Bangor campus.
Example of Duties
Adjunct instructors in Exercise Science may be considered to teach courses in the following areas:
  1. Principles of Strength and Cardiovascular Conditioning - Courses focused on the scientific principles and practical application of exercise programming for muscular strength, endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and overall physical performance.

  • Successful college-level teaching experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate scientific and applied concepts effectively to undergraduate students.
