Job description

Job Description:

To diagnose and treat patients with heart and cardiovascular problems. This involves consulting with patients about their symptoms, performing tests, interpreting tests, and prescribing treatment for ongoing conditions. 

Responsible for new patient consultations and longitudinal follow-up when appropriate
Proficiency in the workup and diagnosis of multiple cardiovascular conditions
Establishing comprehensive care plans for existing and newly diagnosed cardiovascular conditions
Communicating care plans with primary care physicians and referring physicians 
Interpret ECG's, Holter monitors, and echocardiograms as well as any ordered cardio-diagnostics
Pursue ongoing and continuing education to stay on top of the latest research findings
Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and aid in education and support of team members
Perform all job duties in a timely manner
Provide exceptional patient and family centered care
Supervise and interpret treadmill stress tests
Administer CPR in emergency situations

 

Qualifications:

  • Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA

  • Masters or Doctorate (preferred)

  • 5+ years residency

  • 3+ years practicing as a Cardiologist

  • Advanced Imaging and Heart Failure training 

  • Extensive knowledge of modern cardiology practices and technology

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Caring and compassionate bedside manner

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Compensation: Salary Range is approx $300,000-500,000 per year depending on schedules/# of patients seen per day. Overhead structure will be discussed with candidates who are interviewed.
