Associate Pastor

Position Description
The Associate Pastor will use his unique giftings, experiences, and passions, in partnership with our Lead Pastor, to equip and empower our church body to make a multiplied Kingdom impact. This role offers potential opportunity for growth in responsibility and leadership.
Qualifications
  • Clear call to ministry & passion for the greater Putnam region
  • Education: Masters of Divinity (or comparable degree/ in process)
  • Experience: At least three years of pastoral ministry experience.
  • Licensing/ Ordination: With the C&MA (or sustaining accreditation)

Primary ResponsibilitiesPastoral Ministry
    • Preach at a regular interval as a part of the preaching team.
    • Collaborate with Lead Pastor to provide compassionate pastoral care to individuals as needed.

Life Groups/ Disciple Making
    • Lead Life Group ministry.
    • Lead local community outreach strategy.
    • Collaborate with ministries to create appropriate discipleship pathways for different stages of spiritual maturity.
    • Track discipleship effectiveness and implement improvements with staff team.

Leadership & Ministry Development
    • Resource ministry leaders, providing practical tools, guidance and encouragement.
    • Identify and develop leaders.
