Job description

Health Loft is a healthcare company that offers physical therapy and nutrition counseling in the Chicagoland area. We accept most major insurances, and our clinicians have the flexibility to work from home, seeing patients virtually, as well as in our downtown office located in the Loop which is near the Metra and the CTA blue and green lines.

About the Position:

We are seeking a full time Registered Dietitian to join our team in the Loop. The position will manage the nutritional care of adult patients with conditions ranging from weight management, sports performance, IBS, PCOS, eating disorders, and other patient needs. The position will include screening, assessment, intervention, and education in an outpatient setting. The individual should be comfortable with working independently but will have the support of other team members. Collaboration with other healthcare providers, internal and external to the company is required. Opportunities for marketing and content creation, such as video, and management of other digital assets are also available in this role. This position requires excellent communication and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage a patient caseload.

  • Conduct thorough initial evaluation with patients and develop a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan to meet their goals and needs.

  • Effectively communicate patient benefits/answer basic insurance questions

  • Ensure appropriate treatment progression as patient condition improves.

  • Analyze eating and provide nutritional guidance and meal plans for patients.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop effective treatment plans for individuals.

  • Interpret nutrition-related blood work and incorporate that into plan of care

  • Complete documentation within 24 hours of visit.

  • Follow up with discharged patients.

  • Creation of video content on nutrition tropics as directed.

  • Creation of nutritional resources as directed.

  • Provide feedback on Website Content, Blog posts, and other marketing or clinical materials related to nutritional topics as needed.

  • Meet and consult with Physicians and other referral sources as necessary.

  • Hold virtual or in-person workshops and/or educational events for community members.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid RD license in the state of Illinois

  • Bachelors or Masters of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics.

  • Certificate of Dietetic Registration (RD) through the Commission of Dietetic Registration.

  • Preferred experience in general clinical nutrition, and/or outpatient nutrition counseling.

  • Preferred experience or specialty in Sports Nutrition (CSSD credential a bonus).

  • New graduates are welcome to apply.
