The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and global business strategy, taught by faculty with extensive academic and professional experience. Graduates emerge equipped to lead teams, drive innovation, and advance into senior roles across sectors, including finance, marketing, operations, and entrepreneurship.

Who we need

Reporting to the Dean, Business ON, we are hiring a MBA Faculty, Accounting. As our new Faculty member, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional learning experience for graduate students while helping shape the future of business education. You will teach accounting courses within our MBA program, creating engaging, inclusive, and applied learning experiences that connect theory to real-world practice. Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to curriculum development, academic service, scholarship, and collaboration across the University, helping ensure our programs remain relevant, rigorous, and responsive to the evolving needs of learners and industry.

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role based at our 120 Bloor Street East campus in Toronto, with an expectation of three days per week on-site. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2026.

What's in it for you

Shape the next generation of business leaders. You will have the opportunity to bring your professional expertise into the classroom, collaborate with colleagues across the Business faculty, and contribute to curriculum innovation that keeps pace with changes in the accounting profession and the broader business landscape.

A collaborative academic community. You will join a faculty that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and student success. Beyond teaching, you will contribute to curriculum development, scholarship, and academic service while working alongside colleagues who are committed to creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. As Yorkville University continues to grow, you will have opportunities to expand your impact through new initiatives, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing professional development.

As our new MBA Faculty, Accounting, you will:

  • Inspire learning. You will teach graduate-level accounting courses that challenge students to think critically, apply theory to real business situations, and develop the analytical and ethical decision-making skills needed to succeed as business leaders. You will foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment across in-person, blended, and online modalities, using evidence-based teaching practices and educational technologies to support student success.
  • Support student success. You will create meaningful learning experiences and provide timely, constructive feedback that helps students achieve course and program learning outcomes. Through regular communication, office hours, and proactive engagement, you will build strong connections with learners, encourage participation, and guide them throughout their academic journey.
  • Contribute to curriculum excellence. You will collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance MBA curriculum, ensuring courses remain academically rigorous, aligned with accreditation and institutional standards, and reflective of current accounting practices. You will share ideas, contribute to program reviews, and help create a consistent, high-quality student experience across the program.
  • Collaborate with the academic community. You will work closely with faculty, program leadership, and cross-functional teams to strengthen the learner experience and contribute to a connected academic culture. You will participate in faculty meetings, committees, and institutional initiatives, sharing your expertise while supporting the continued growth of the Business faculty.
  • Advance scholarship and continuous improvement. You will remain current in your discipline through scholarly activity, professional development, and engagement with industry and academic networks. You will apply new insights to your teaching, contribute to knowledge sharing within the University, and support Yorkville University's commitment to academic excellence and lifelong learning.
You have:
  • The credentials. You hold a terminal degree in Business or a closely related discipline, as required for the role. You also hold a professional accounting designation, with a CPA designation preferred. Your academic and professional background allows you to bring both scholarly rigour and practical insight to the classroom.
