The Business Operations Coordinator supports continuous improvement initiatives across the organization by coordinating process execution, documenting processes, and ensuring adherence to operational standards. This role helps drive efficiency, enhance quality, and support a culture of process excellence.


Responsibilities

Operational Process Support

  • Partner with department manager to understand operational needs, workflow challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist teams in designing, implementing, and standardizing operational processes.
  • Support rollout of new processes, ensuring employees understand changes and have the tools they need to follow them.

Process Documentation & Standardization

  • Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, policies, and process flowcharts.
  • Assist in the translation of complex workflows into clear and userfriendly documentation.
  • Ensure that all process documents follow a consistent format and meet organizational standards.
  • Track document versions, approvals, and update cycles to keep information current.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Work collaboratively across all business units to ensure processes align with organizational goals and work well endtoend.
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational documentation and process-related questions.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather input, clarify expectations, and confirm process requirements.

Change Implementation & Support

  • Support change management efforts associated with new or updated processes, including communication and training coordination.
  • Assist employees in adopting new workflows by answering questions, providing reference materials, and monitoring early implementation.
  • Collect feedback from users to refine new processes and improve usability.

 


Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in business operations, project coordination, administration, or process improvement.
  • Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, workflows, and process documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and process-mapping tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or change management is a plus.
