Job description

Join a hands-on laboratory team supporting cutting-edge reproductive technologies at Trans Ova Genetics. As a Medium Preparation Technician, you'll play a critical role in enabling IVF and sexed semen lab success by ensuring precise, high-quality media is available when it's needed. This role directly supports Trans Ova's mission to advance genetic progress and deliver innovative reproductive solutions, while contributing to a collaborative, detail-driven culture rooted in quality, integrity, and scientific excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare media and stock solutions to support IVF and sexed semen lab operations
  • Coordinate with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Sexed Semen (SS), Quality Control (QC), Cloning, and Research & Development (R&D) teams to fulfill media requests
  • Plan and maintain preparation schedules to meet lab demand
  • Order and manage chemicals and disposables for media preparation
  • Package and ship prepared media to remote locations
  • Support QC and sterilization lab activities as needed
  • Assist with ovary aspiration (porcine and bovine), including scheduling and setup
  • Maintain accurate records, data entry, and adherence to lab protocols

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field, or 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with aseptic technique and/or media preparation preferred
  • Ability to work under a laminar flow hood and perform repetitive hand movements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
