Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Nutritionist to join the team in Mishawaka, IN. This role will support the development, evaluation, and implementation of nutrition programs and pet food formulations while working closely with quality, production, and procurement teams. The Nutritionist will assist in analyzing feed ingredients, supporting product development, conducting industry research, and ensuring pet food products meet nutritional standards and regulatory requirements.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a early-career professional interested in building a career within the pet food or feed industry. The role will provide exposure to formulation development, ingredient evaluation, quality monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the production of high-quality pet nutrition products.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Food Science, or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of animal nutrition principles and feed formulation with 3-5 years of experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret nutritional data and ingredient specifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills
• 3-5 years of experience within the pet food, feed, or animal nutrition industry
• Familiarity with pet food formulation software or feed formulation tools
