Job description

Title: Associate Professor of Accounting

Position Description

The Department of Accounting at the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington invites applications for a tenure eligible faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2027.

We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a nine-month academic appointment beginning September 16, 2027.

The base salary range for this position will be $31,000-$35,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high-quality scholarly research in accounting or a related field and effectively teach courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.

The positions are open to all teaching and research areas within the discipline of accounting. Other compensation associated with this position may include a moving allowance, summer research funding, endowments (tenured), and administrative supplements.
