Job description

A top accounting, tax, and advisory firm has partnered with our office to help find a high quality Tax Manager or Senior Manager in the Houston, TX area.

If you are looking for a new opportunity in tax leadership, this could be the ideal role for you. This is a fast moving and entrepreneurial environment where you can make important decisions for clients, and perform tax review work for dozens of regionally based businesses in many industries including manufacturing, construction, and professional services.

Position Summary and Duties:

  • Work independently and with the management staff to work with an assigned group of clients across multiple industries
  • Advise clients on multiple tax issues, planning, research and compliance
  • Prep and review tax returns for multiple entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts
  • Work with key clients for business advisory and tax decisions
  • Supervise and train junior tax personnel and review their prepped returns (1065 1120 1040).

Role Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of tax prep and review experience with various entities
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent)
  • Masters in tax or accounting preferred
  • CPA is not required but highly appreciated
  • High level of tax skills, organization, and analytical skills
  • Work in a tight deadline environment

Pay and benefits:

  • $120,000-$160,000 salary annually, commensurate with experience
