What You Will Be Doing
The Cost Accounting Manager leads inventory and cost accounting for U.S. golf ball manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, standard costing, and financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP. This role serves as a key business partner to plant leadership, translating manufacturing and cost data into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and cost optimization. Responsible for overseeing month-end close activities, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and audit support, the manager also plays a critical role in SAP ERP governance, process improvement initiatives, and global ERP implementations. Leading a Senior Accountant and collaborating closely with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Finance teams, this position combines technical accounting expertise with strategic business partnership to enhance financial performance and operational decision-making across multiple manufacturing facilities.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on manufacturing, cost accounting, and inventory accounting.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and public company financial reporting environments.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and automated accounting/inventory management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under tight close and reporting deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
  • Prior supervisory experience required, including leading and developing accounting staff.
