Duties and Responsibilities
1. Teach up to three (3) in-person classes of lower-level mathematics: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics.
2. Grade assignments, provide feedback to students, and answer emails or other communications in a timely fashion.
3. Keep office hours in Math Tutoring Lab and in-person.
4. Update the required Bb shell for the class and use it for required class activities.
5. Adhere to assignment workload, due dates, grading policies, and other general requirements for the course as prescribed in the common syllabus.
6. Submit midterm and final grades on time.
7. Attend meetings with course coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Master's degree or higher in Mathematics.
Experience
Experience integrating technology into the teaching process. Experience in working with freshmen and the ability to work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Availability to teach classes in the time frame between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. is a big plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills are an essential requirement for this position.
