Job Description
To assist in the development and maintenance of the database-drive web applications in support of UT Health San Antonio research initiatives. The position will work directly with other developers and end-users to create online and mobile web applications and forms for query, display, and maintenance of information required for regulatory compliance. Operate as the VPR IT point of contact for issues relating to interfaces with institutional compliance software platforms and data stores.
Duties:
  • Design, code, and test web applications using a PHP MVC framework and JavaScript for UI in support of business and regulatory needs. Develop, code and test web services consumed by internal and external business users. Assist other developers in coding work flows needed for routing documents through regulatory office roles.
  • Develop SQL Server database queries and views. Programs T-SQL stored procedures and functions.
  • Meet with business stakeholders to document business requirements to support the missions of these teams.

  • Troubleshoot and debug existing code.
  • Generate end-user and technical documentation.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with three (3) years systems analysis/programming activities in a business environment.
Preferred:
Masters in Computer Science or 5 years experience. Knowledge in PHP, Javascript, MVC or similar software architecture and responsive software design. Linux experience is a plus.
