Accountability Objective
The IT Application Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's software applications. This role ensures that business-critical systems run smoothly, users receive timely support, and applications are configured to meet operational needs. The specialist works closely with IT, vendors, and internal departments to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and improve application performance. The IT Application Specialist also supports and optimizes the digital thread connecting CAD → PLM → Infor ERP → MES for engineered-to-manufactured products. This role ensures accurate engineering data flows into Infor ERP, maintains integrations, supports production planning and execution, and provides advanced troubleshooting across the manufacturing application stack.

Nature and Scope
This position reports to the Director of Finance & Systems as do the Systems Engineer, Business Analyst, Accountant, Accounting Support Clerk, Associate System Engineer, and Systems Business Analyst Manager.
This position plays a key role in the implementation and ongoing support for TriMark's ERP system. This will require a strong partnership with Infor Syteline support as well as the implementation partners Godlan, Infor CoWin, and Inforlogic. This includes day-to-day support, configuration of settings, development and delivery of training, understanding and documenting workflows, integrations to other programs such as Prophecy, BarTender, Decision Resources, and others., troubleshooting, API writing, and EDI feeds.
The incumbent will be responsible for Microsoft product selection and licensing along with any other productivity software applications.
The incumbent must be dependable, responsive and reliable to the highest degree, work with high energy and sense of urgency and must display aggressiveness, cooperation, tact, and resourcefulness. Conduct must be professional and ethical at all times, consistent with company policies and objectives. It is critical that this position possesses a high degree of confidentiality by virtue of the sensitive information that is disclosed to the incumbent.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for business applications, including troubleshooting, issues resolution, and user assistance.
  • Configure application settings, workflows, and integrations based on business requirements.
  • Develop training materials and deliver sessions to help employees use applications effectively and develop guidelines for use.
  • Work with software vendors to resolve escalated issues, manage updates, and evaluate new features.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Track application performance, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with application upgrades, migrations, and new system implementations.
  • Support data validation, reporting, and quality assurance activities.
  • Support and troubleshoot integrations between:
    1. PLM → Infor ERP (BOMs, item masters, revisions)
    2. Infor ERP → MES (work orders, routings, material lists)
    3. Infor ERP → Quality systems
  • Work with middleware tools such as Infor ION, Infor OS, or REST APIs.
  • Build SQL based reports, dashboards, or queries for planning, production, and quality.
  • Use Infor tools such as: Infor BI / Birst, Infor Mongoose (for CloudSuite Industrial), and Infor Document Management (IDM)
  • Develop scripts (PowerShell, Python, SQL) to automate data validation or system tasks.

Working Conditions
The office area is air-conditioned and working conditions are excellent. The noise level is 50-80DB. Normal or corrected vision with no color deficiency, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees is required.
Safety glasses are required whenever office personnel are in the plant production area. Hearing protection is not required but is encouraged for use in areas designated as high-noise areas.
