Scientist, Integrated Computational and Experimental Inflammation Discovery What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will contribute to Inflammation discovery programs by planning and coordinating project tasks, generating and interpreting high-quality experimental data, and applying computational and AI-enabled approaches to deepen our understanding of disease biology, refine therapeutic hypotheses and support target discovery.

Working with minimal supervision, you will manage defined program components, develop an area of scientific expertise, and communicate data-driven insights that help advance project decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate defined project tasks and activities that support target identification, validation, and progression of Inflammation discovery programs.
  • Design, execute, analyze, and interpret bench/wet lab studies to investigate disease mechanisms and test therapeutic hypotheses with scientific rigor and appropriate urgency.
  • Apply computational, AI-enabled, and data-analytic approaches to generate mechanistic insights, refine experimental design, and integrate findings across data sources.
  • Integrate experimental results with published literature, human genetics, clinical observations, and internal or external datasets to inform ongoing project design.
  • Develop and optimize solutions to technical problems of advanced scope and complexity within an emerging area of expertise.
  • Collaborate across functions and departments, contributing at the project-team level and building constructive relationships with wet-lab, computational, translational, and drug-discovery partners.
  • Organize, interpret, document, and present project data and scientific recommendations within work groups, project teams, and internal scientific forums.
  • Coach or guide others within the work group or project team where appropriate, and contribute to a collaborative culture of scientific curiosity, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Masters degree and 2 years of experience in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Computational Biology, Bioengineering

OR

Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Computational Biology, Bioengineering

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced and proficient understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts relevant to inflammation and immunology research.
  • Experience designing, executing, analyzing, and interpreting experimental studies that support target discovery, validation, or mechanistic biology.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled scientific tools, computational biology approaches, advanced data analytics, or multimodal data integration.
  • Basic knowledge of related or adjacent disciplinary areas, such as translational science, human genetics, clinical biology, drug discovery, or data science.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, make independent decisions within a work group, and manage defined project components.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to organize, interpret, document, and present scientific or technical information to work groups and project teams.
  • Experience collaborating across functions or departments and contributing constructively to project-team goals.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
