This Accounting Intern opening reports to the Controller of Terumo Neuro.
The Accounting Intern will assist with the day-to-day Accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. The Intern may assist with month end close procedures, while completing other projects as assigned. Duties may include:
  • Reconciling sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances
  • Assist with maintaining and reconciling fixed assets and preparing associated reports
  • Supporting the quarterly and annual audit process and preparing necessary schedules, reconciliations and analyses.
  • Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with daily processes and selected month-end activities.
  • Assist HCP compliance specialist with data retrieval, reporting and filing.
  • Assist with internal audit control testing (J-SOX compliance)
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Assist with special projects
  • Assist with SAP ERP implementation.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Working toward bachelor's degree in accounting or master's in accounting or business. Finance or other related discipline. MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of relevant GL accounting principles
  • Intermediate/advanced MS Excel knowledge and experience
  • High degree of accuracy in working with large amounts of data
  • Must assume responsibility for timeliness of work completion and perform to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS technical accounting skills,
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting financial data in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with ERP systems and accounting software (JDE a plus)

  • The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters).
  • This position will be onsite 3-4 days a week
