CNC Programmer

North Canton, Ohio

Ajax Tocco Magnethermic (ATM), a subsidiary of ParkOhio, traces its roots back to the 1800s and has a rich history of excellence in induction heating and melting solutions. The present company was formed in 1959 when the Magnethermic Corporation acquired the assets of Ajax Electrothermic Corp. combining their expertise and capabilities.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Machine Operator – to join our team in North Canton Ohio. This role involves setting up and operating both CNC Mill and Lathe. May also include manual mill and lathe machines, with a focus on machining unique parts from Copper, Brass, Stainless or Mild Steel. You will work independently, handling setting up the machines and producing finished parts.

Job Duties:

- Set up and operate CNC and manual machines with minimal supervision.

- Position and set up workpieces using cranes or manual methods to hold tolerances as close as .001”.

- Apply appropriate speeds, feeds, and machining methods for different materials.

- Write and edit CNC programs as needed.

- Use precision measuring devices to ensure parts meet specifications.

- Perform blocking and aligning of irregular-shaped parts.

- CAM software programming

- Assist in assembly as needed

What you need to be successful:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- 1+ years of experience in CNC set up and machining or CNC certification

- 1+ years of experience with CAM programming

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with manual machining

- Mastercam experience
