Key responsibilities

  • Sell swim spas and related products at the showroom to drive sales.

  • Work weekends and travel for shows during the season as needed.

  • Follow the company's proven sales system to manage leads and close sales.

Job description

About Atlas

Atlas Spas and Swim Spas is a family-owned Texas company and an authorized Master Spas dealer, including the Michael Phelps Signature swim spa line. We run showrooms in Plano, Fort Worth, Tyler, Georgetown, Woodway, Oklahoma City, and Wichita. Our average sale is about $20,000.

Straight talk about this job before you apply

  • Your selling happens at the showroom. The showroom is your home base and where you will be driving sales.
  • You will work weekends. Sales is demanding and in order to be successful, you will be expected to work weekends.
  • The sale happens today or it doesn't happen. Nobody needs a swim spa. This is an emotional purchase with a shelf life measured in minutes — if they walk out to “think about it,” the emotion drains in the parking lot. We sell in the moment.
  • The tickets are big. A $20,000 average, and plenty of deals north of $50,000. You have to be comfortable sitting across a table and asking a stranger to spend that today.
  • It's a system, not a personality contest. We don't hire charm. We hire people who will work their leads according to our proven sales methods.

What we're looking for

  • You've sold something before and you've had to ask for the money — spas, cars, furniture, roofing, boats, RVs, solar, gym memberships. The product doesn't matter.
  • You can work weekends and travel for shows during season.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • You'd rather follow a proven system than improvise.
  • Spa or pool industry experience is not required. We'll teach you the product. We can't teach you work ethic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

This job is probably not for you if

  • You need your weekends off from February through July.
  • You want a paycheck that shows up whether you sold anything or not.
  • You think “we'll think about it and call you” is a normal way for a sale to end.
  • Asking a stranger to spend $30,000 today makes you flinch.
  • You want to sell from behind a desk.

Compensation

$20,000 base salary plus uncapped commission. We expect a rep who works their leads properly to earn $100,000 or more.

The base is there so you're never selling scared — it carries you through a slow week. Everything above it is commission, and there is no cap on it.

How to apply

Apply here. In your note, answer one question in three sentences or less:

Tell me about the last thing you sold that the customer didn't walk in planning to buy.

If you've never sold professionally, tell me instead about a time you talked someone into something that turned out to be good for them. We read every one of those — it's the fastest way to the top of the pile.

Atlas Spas and Swim Spas is an equal opportunity employer.
