As a Licensed Master Social Worker at Brighter Life Social Work, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ social, emotional, and environmental challenges, facilitating tailored support strategies.
• Designing and implementing personalized service plans that incorporate clients’ specific goals, with continuing progress monitoring and adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Providing individual and family counseling focused on various life challenges, such as trauma resolution and coping strategies, drawing from evidence-based practices.
• Collaborating effectively with clients to connect them with essential community resources, ensuring they access the support they need to thrive.
• Offering crisis intervention and risk assessment services to clients in urgent situations, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Building and maintaining professional relationships with community agencies to coordinate services, advocating for clients when needed to navigate social systems.
• Engaging in outreach activities that raise community awareness of available services and support programs, actively promoting agency resources.
• Participating in case conferences and staff training sessions to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Our clientele includes individuals and families from diverse backgrounds facing significant life challenges, such as mental health issues, substance abuse, and socioeconomic hardships. You'll work closely with clients who may be experiencing crises, trauma, or ongoing emotional struggles. By leveraging a trauma-informed care approach, you will play a crucial role in nurturing resilience and supporting clients on their paths toward recovery.

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• A strong understanding of social and economic justice issues, community resources, and the principles of trauma-informed care.
• Exceptional communication skills, cultural competence, and effective problem-solving abilities.

While two years of relevant experience in a social service agency is required, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Professional experience working with marginalized populations and in community health settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of case management practices and resource referral processes.
• Experience utilizing electronic health record systems and data management strategies.
