Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LSW / LCSW) – Mental Health Therapist (Children & Adults)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Youngstown, OH (80 E Midlothian Ave)
Organization: NVBH (Northeast Valley Behavioral Health)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Master’s Level Licensed Social Worker (LSW or LCSW) to provide compassionate, high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. This is a clinical therapy position focused on assessment, individual/family counseling, group facilitation, and care coordination.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups for children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate effectively with families, schools, courts, and other professionals.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
  • Link clients to community resources and support systems.
  • Uphold professional ethics and standards of practice.
Requirements
  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active LSW or LCSW in the State of Ohio (required). LISW strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in mental health, counseling, or social work.
  • Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
  • Knowledge of community resources in the Mahoning Valley.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
