Job description

100% FTE, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm. Hours may vary based on operational needs of the department. You will work at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

Oversee the operations, clinical excellence, and growth of the Pediatric Procedure Area, driving quality outcomes and exceptional care for pediatric patients from newborn through adolescence.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for pediatric procedure services, directing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care programs to achieve high-quality clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Lead workforce and budget management efforts, including staffing (FTE oversight), budget preparation, and fiscal accountability, while fostering staff retention and a supportive professional work environment.
  • Drive quality and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring patient, family, staff, and physician satisfaction through effective procedures, and continuous quality control measures.
  • Lead daily operations and interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring efficient workflow, effective communication, and a team-based environment that supports safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN). Required
  • Master of Science - Nursing (MSN) or MS in relevant area. Preferred

Work Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant clinical experience. Required
  • Three (3) years of progressive leadership experience. Required
  • Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience within same or relevant practice area. Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • RN Licensed in State of Wisconsin. Required
  • Certification in relevant specialty. Preferred
