Job Title: TEAP Specialist/Addiction Counselor

Hours:  fulltime

Location: Monroe, VA

Interview: 1 Round

Must Haves:

  • LADC or CSAC Certification (licensed or certified)
  • 1+ years of experience as a TEAP Specialist/Addiction Counselor
  • Bachelors degree in psychology or related field
  • Active drivers license and vehicle
  • Ability to pass a background check

Plusses:

  • Experience in practice with adolescent population (16-24)
  • Group therapy experience / one on one
  • Trauma informed care 

Job description: 

A client of Insight Global is looking for a TEAP Specialist/Addiction Counselor to join our clients team. The counselor will support students who have not passed the drug and alcohol test upon entering the program. Key responsibilities include leading a 5-6 week program, facilitating group counseling sessions, conducting individual sessions with students, and assisting with exercise classes throughout the program. The role involves close collaboration with Nurses, Mental Health Counselors, and the Multidisciplinary Committee to ensure students receive the necessary support to graduate. Additionally, the position may require transporting students to off-campus appointments as needed.
