Job description

Status: Part Time 60 hours per pay period
Shifts: Days

Our Health Information Department consists of clerks and technicians. This vital department is responsible for the records management for both inpatient and outpatient departments. They assist with the management of health information data including electronic and paper medical records. They work with patients and families directly at times as well.
The Technician is responsible for assisting with the management of health information data including electronic and paper medical records. This role helps to ensure that health information is accurate, accessible, secure and maintained in a protected manner. This role will also assist the HI Director by performing task-oriented projects and assisting other departments with HI related activities.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
  • Two years' experience with medical records
  • Previous experience with hosptial medical records preferred
