Job Description

Basin Glacial Waters is a brand new, highly anticipated Wellness Facility that will offer guests a truly luxurious experience. As part of our Basin therapist team and as a Sauna Master, you will lead and perform immersive sauna and Aufguss ceremonies, bringing authenticity, artistry, and tradition to the sauna experience at Basin Glacial Waters.

Pay Rate: $25.49/Hour

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Wellness Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job function include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead and perform immersive sauna and Aufguss ceremonies, delivering unique, sensory guest experiences.
  • Craft multi-sensory rituals using heat, essential oils, music, lighting, and dynamic towel techniques.
  • Deliver guided ceremonies ranging from 15 to 90 minutes, elevating the sauna experience into a theatrical art form.
  • Create a welcoming and harmonious sauna environment, managing temperature, steam, and ambiance
  • Act as a performer and guide, infusing each session with originality, energy, storytelling, and rhythm.
  • Oversee sauna operations, including guest safety, space cleanliness, and overall wellness area upkeep.
  • Engage with guests, warmly greeting them, answering questions, and assisting throughout their experience.
  • Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service, enhancing guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Demonstrate physical endurance and stage presence, including standing for extended periods and performing in high heat.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in Aufguss, sauna rituals, hospitality, or performance arts is preferred, it is not required
  • Experience offering Hot Yoga, or other meditative type practice in heat is preferred, it is not required
  • Have excellent interpersonal/communication skills, are polite and friendly
  • Are dedicated to a high level of customer service and attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift, carry and pull over 30+ lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift. Motions include: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, climbing up and down the stairs.

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
