JOB SUMMARY

Eastside Catholic School is seeking a High School Math teacher to join the Math Department for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate is an educator who will foster students' understanding and appreciation of mathematics while creating an engaging, supportive classroom environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching math, inspires young learners and holds a strong belief in every student's potential for intellectual growth.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Establish clear objectives for assigned lessons, learning targets and projects and communicate these to students, following the department's curriculum
  • Collaborate with the Math Department to align curriculum while conveying new ideas and best practices
  • Plan and teach five math sections across all levels, from on-level and honors through AP, using best pedagogical practices
  • Develop the curriculum materials, syllabus, outlines and assessments in alignment with the department
  • Monitor and assess each student's development and progress in a fair and consistent manner
  • Participate in all faculty, department and committee meetings as required
  • Serve as a mentor teacher to a group of 15-20 students

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of high school math curriculum, including on-level, honors and AP courses
  • Experience with differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Proficiency in classroom technology and innovative teaching methods
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion and fostering a sense of belonging for all students

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a focus in math or related field
  • Teaching experience at the high school level (required)
  • Teaching certification (preferred)
  • Master's degree in mathematics or education (preferred 


Salary Range:    $54,500 $109,105
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications
