The Department of Psychology and Counseling at Utah Valley University invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate psychology courses. Summary of Responsibilities
The successful applicant will join a vibrant academic community dedicated to fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment for all students.
  • Prepare and deliver undergraduate psychology courses in accordance with department standards and course objectives.
  • Utilize multiple instructional modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Develop course materials, such as syllabi, lectures, assignments, quizzes, and exams, aligned with current psychological theories and research.
  • Implement effective pedagogical strategies to promote student engagement, active learning, and critical thinking.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback through graded assignments, discussions, and exams.
  • Maintain student records, including attendance, grades, and communications, in accordance with university policy.
  • Foster a respectful, engaging, and supportive classroom environment for all students, encouraging participation and academic success.
  • Be available to students via scheduled office hours, email, or other communication methods for consultation on coursework and academic progress.
