The University of Saint Mary is a Roman Catholic, liberal arts university located in Leavenworth, Kansas, just 25 minutes away from Kansas City. USM serves about 1,400 students at its main campus in Leavenworth, its satellite location in Overland Park, as well as online.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The University is seeking adjunct faculty members in psychology. This position is a pool position meaning that openings may or may not be currently available. Your application for this position will be kept current for a period of two years.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Teach classes as assigned from the regular psychology program curriculum.
  • Prepare syllabi and deliver curriculum appropriate for the course assigned.
  • Appropriately respond to student needs and feedback.
  • Assess the course learning outcomes.
  • Foster an inclusive educational environment to serve all learners.
  • Maintain student attendance records in accordance with university policy.
  • Submit mid-term and final grades on time.
  • Advise and/or mentor students through electronic communications and other appropriate methods.
  • Complete all required training, including training on Engage LMS.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates should have a master’s level degree or above in psychology OR bachelor’s in psychology AND masters or above in counseling, sociology, or social work.
  • Affinity with the Mission of the University of Saint Mary.
