Job description

Lighthouse Lab Services is working with an innovative, cutting edge reference laboratory located in Denver, CO. We are seeking a Spectroscopy Technologist to lead daily operations within a high-complexity oncology diagnostics laboratory. This individual will oversee spectral acquisition, multivariate data analysis, staff performance, quality systems, and accreditation readiness. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in spectroscopy and biophysical analysis combined with operational leadership experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily activities of the Spectroscopy team

  • Develop and manage staff schedules and workflow allocation

  • Optimize, validate, and standardize spectroscopy protocols

  • Perform blood sample processing and separation of components

  • Conduct Raman spectral acquisition and data pre-processing using spectral software

  • Perform multivariate analysis of spectral datasets

  • Ensure routine QC checks for instruments and laboratory procedures

  • Train staff and conduct competency and proficiency assessments

  • Maintain laboratory documentation including SOPs, job cards, and operational records

  • Maintain instrument logs, service reports, and technical documentation

  • Support laboratory accreditation preparation and compliance initiatives (ISO15189/CLIA)

  • Participate in required compliance and quality training programs

Preferred Profile:

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Biotechnology, Biophysics, Biology, or related scientific field
  • Minimum 1 year of laboratory operations experience (spectroscopy preferred)

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

  • Eligible for high-complexity testing under CLIA regulations
