Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a nonresidential two-year institution of higher education that serves Central Virginia - principally residents of the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Our scenic campus is located in Albemarle County, Virginia. We are one of 23 community colleges in Virginia that comprise the Virginia Community College System (VCCS).
PVCC is nationally recognized for its outstanding transfer curriculum; its relationship with its neighbor, the University of Virginia; and its Workforce Development Programs serving local employers.

We are seeking to identify qualified and interested adjunct faculty members in the following teaching disciplines and/or subject areas: COMMUNICATION STUDIES.
We are currently seeking instructors for in person instruction of Principles of Public Speaking in The Higher Education in Prison Program. Through this program, PVCC offers opportunities for incarcerated learners to transform their lives by earning a transfer associate degree. This program is available to incarcerated students at Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women, Buckingham Correctional Center, and Dillwyn Correctional Center.

The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience and education in the subject area and a history of successful teaching or related experience.
Master's degree in Communication Studies or master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Communication Studies.

Two years teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with on-line teaching.
