Job description

As a Master Data Lead, you will lead the master data process within PPG Specialty Products Business. You will ensure the integrity, quality, governance, and compliance of master data across our SAP environment. You will play a key role in refining and enforcing data standards. You will also support global business processes and improve master data management (MDM) practices across domains such as customer, vendor, and material. We ask that you be strong decision-making capability to prioritize data programs and resolve data issues, while ensuring consistent and high-quality outcomes across the organization. You will report to the Global Product and Process Improvement Manager and we will base you on site at the Monroeville location.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Manage SAP master data for customers, vendors, and materials, encompassing creation, updates, governance controls, and end of life data management.
โ€ข Partner with cross functional stakeholders (Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Quality, IT, and DMO) to support business processes, resolve data issues, and maintain high data integrity standards.
โ€ข Establish KPIs and perform data quality assessments, audits, and validations across master data domains to ensure integrity, quality, and governance.
โ€ข Define, implement, and enforce master data governance policies and standards, improving data quality and consistency to support global business processes and drive continuous improvement across domains such as customer, vendor, and material data within SAP.
โ€ข Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise data, ensuring its integration, governance, and use across systems, tools, and business processes to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related field
โ€ข 4-8+ years of experience in SAP Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Compliance roles
โ€ข Hands-on experience with SAP master data objects (customer, vendor and material)
โ€ข Understanding of data governance frameworks, controls, and compliance requirements
โ€ข Experience working with teams, senior leaders and SAP CoE
โ€ข Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
โ€ข Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide change management, influence adoption, and align partners.
