The Job:

As a Master Data Specialist, you'll be part of our East Longmeadow, MA team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to:

  • Responsible for administrating plant-level engineering changes and updating the manufacturing ERP system (SAP) to accommodate those changes.
  • Requires interaction with multiple functions within a manufacturing environment to establish and implement master data critical to day to day running of the business.
  • Be a hands-on expert in SAP and proficient with SAP functions such as:
    • Create Material Masters.
    • Change, extend, and obsolete part numbers using Change Masters.
    • Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Alternate BOMs. Calculate BOM quantities.
    • Maintain BOM yields per instructionsfrom Finance.
    • Create and maintain BOMs for OSP/SUBC (Outside Processing).
    • Create and maintain Production Versions (PVs).
    • Create and maintain Routes as well as alternate routes.
    • Work with finance and manufacturing engineering to establish and maintain work centers.
    • Manage part discontinuation (NOD).
  • Maintain documents to support the building of parts and BOMs.
  • Maintain documents to support SAP process rates.
  • Monitor plant-level "Temporary Change" documents for potential changes to processes and process rates.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers to conduct audits on processes to capture changed process rates.
  • Administer plant-level Engineering Changes (LECNs) for the East Longmeadow (ELM) plant. LECNs control ANY plant-level changes made to the product or process. LECNs are initiated by product changes that arise from a SBD Corporate Change Notice (CN) or any other product or process change that is initiated by a Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Product Manager via the plant-level Engineering Change Request (LECR) system.
  • Develop and implement an alternative way to manage LECR/LECN document workflow. A manual system via email is a possible option.

  • More than 3 years' experience working with SAP in a factory floor environment.

  • Good English written and oral communication skills.

The Salary range for this position is $62,200.00 - $100,200.00
