Senior Manager, Master Data Management & Reference Data

What you will do

In this vital role you will translate business priorities into scalable data capabilities, establish enterprise data standards, and lead cross-functional delivery across business and technology teams. Amgen is seeking an experienced data management leader with biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience to advance enterprise Master Data Management (MDM), Reference Data, and Data Governance capabilities.

Experience with Reltio MDM and/or ontology and terminology management platforms, such as SciBite or TopQuadrant, is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the data engagement lead for an assigned business function, applying knowledge of its data, standards, processes, and priorities to deliver measurable data improvements.
  • Co-develop and execute the enterprise MDM and Reference Data roadmaps, aligning capability investments with business priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead MDM and Reference Data initiatives across critical domains, including customer, product, supplier, material, study, and organizational data.
  • Establish governance processes, data standards, stewardship responsibilities, and quality controls to improve the consistency, trust, and reuse of enterprise data.
  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of Reltio MDM capabilities, including data onboarding, matching, survivorship, hierarchy management, workflows, and integrations.
  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of enterprise Reference Data capabilities, including data onboarding, enrichment, workflows, governance, and integrations.
  • Advance semantic and terminology management capabilities using platforms such as SciBite or TopQuadrant to standardize terminology and improve interoperability.
  • Partner with business teams, Data Governance, Architecture, Data Engineering, and other technology groups to deliver scalable, compliant data solutions.
  • Lead internal delivery teams and external partners, communicating progress, risks, decisions, dependencies, and value realization to senior leadership.

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience
