Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Manager, Financial Systems & Master Data as part of the Finance team based in Bridgewater, NJ.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Assoc. Director of US Accounting, this individual will be responsible for leading the successful design and delivery of key financial systems & master data governance solutions for Legend Biotech. This position will closely align with all IT business partners, TechOps and Quality representatives and will drive data quality, integrity and data management across the organization. The Senior Manager of Financial Systems & Master Data will maintain the Chart of Accounts in SAP & OneStream as well as enable business users to leverage and use the data as a differentiator in running the business.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Legend's portfolio of ERP data-related initiatives across all finance data objects within SAP & OneStream 
  • Build and drive plans to improve data practices for operational, reporting and analysis needs - Inclusive of development of processes, control and best business practices around financial data management
  • Partner with IT and drive successful implementations of incremental SAP modules (WBS, Treasury module) 
  • Work with IT to manage the upgrades and enhancements of core financial systems
  • Lead and develop implementation of finance data management core principles, in collaboration with other SAP workstreams (e.g. P2P / D2D / EWM / etc.) data leads, and in alignment with the IT Data Management teams 
  • Collaborate in the development of Master Data Governance activities, inclusive of maintenance of workflows process in accordance with the Company's Delegation of Authority policy  
  • Build organization understanding of data lifecycles from creation to end use, working with subject matter experts in various business functions, operations and IT teams 
  • Resolve any Banking / COGS / Budget / BOM costing issues quickly and effectively 
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal and external financial reporting, data track changes, development of standard operating procedures and work instructions 
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity Team for protecting Legend's data, data leakage and incident response investigations
  • Maintain the Company's Chart of Accounts in all financial systems and maintain clearly defined mapping between ERP and Consolidation platforms.
  • Partner with FP&A to be the gate keeper for the Company's cost centers
  • Ensure timely and accurate allocation of project spend across the business units
  • Maintain access to authorized data users amongst the various systems 
  • Understand data lineage and data mapping for financial data 
  • Collaborate with S4 Hana GRC team to review data logs for appropriateness 
  • Assist with internal and external auditors requirements for SOX compliance on IT/Segregation of Duties related controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Concentration in IT a plus.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience with data management solutions: Migration, Business Objects, Data Quality, etc. 
  • Ability to work independently and successfully, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, integrate cross-functional issues and balance competing priorities effectively. Must be able to manage shifting priorities to meet critical deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic, growing environment. 
  • SAP knowledge is preferrable
  • Ability to promote a mindset of continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention. 
  • Hands on experience leading data definitions and process development, data quality modeling, and solving efforts of data implementation projects collaborating with cross functional teams (internally and externally) 
  • Experience working closely with data and ERP integrators to ensure changes are appropriately adopted and synchronized with the overall Legend Biotech ERP and data strategy 
  • Prior experience with SAP query viewer / design, and advanced GUI access 
  • Prior experience deploying P2P, D2D, RTR/FI modules from design to deployment 
  • Proficient with processing large volume of data, designing queries and advanced analytics reporting tools.
  • Proficient in Project Management.
