Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Master Scheduler who is responsible for control and movement of materials into and out of production, as well as coordination of the Outside Services aspect of the facility, and directing production scheduling, inventory, and stock control while adhering to the budgetary targets for Sales, DOH, and On-Time Delivery. This position is on-site located in Mauston, WI.

Job duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Production Planners and Customer Service to develop plant schedules and delivery
  • Responsible for the development of weekly/monthly sales plans to meet budgetary requirements
  • Provides direction and oversight to Planners who prepare the weekly launch plan for production
  • Creates capacity models to support manpower planning into the future and recovery timelines of backlog orders
  • Creates forecasts in conjunction with SIOP team and processes to support future health of business
  • Monitors raw material inventory and procurement/delivery performance
  • Responsible for analysis and evaluation of inventory and associated delivery performance problems
  • Interface with operations, production planning, engineering, quality and sales departments to resolve production flow problems to maximize throughput to the dock
  • Responsible for commit accuracy and collaborates toward on-time delivery
  • Creates seamless customer experience through collaboration with customer service
  • Works toward reduction of costs within related fields such as inventory, outside services
  • Evaluate issues and provide solutions under high-pressure circumstances
  • Responsible for ongoing coaching and development of staff
  • Maintains high ethics and values in the workplace
  • Participate in and provide input to assigned process improvement and C.I. teams

  • Builds, models, and maintains master data related to all planning and scheduling functions for the business 

  • Works in conjunction with other internal teams across sites to support Business Unit strategies


Basic Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in manufacturing job shop environment, including production planning and inventory control responsibilities
  • Experience with integrated MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience with data analysis, data analytics, and data modeling
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and is experience with programming (SQL, R, Python)

  • Experience with analytics tools like PBI, Tableau, Domo, etc.

  • APICs certification

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of staff

  • Experience in the Aerospace forging manufacturing

  • Experience with Aerospace High-temperature materials

  • Familiarity with ISO standards, 5S and Lean experience.
