Job Summary/Description:  

KSWO, Lawton, OK, is looking for a full-time Technical Media Producer (TMP) who can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. The TMP is responsible for directing live and pre-recorded productions utilizing Ross OverDrive automation software. The TMP is also responsible for monitoring the station’s on-air signals, transmitter, and FCC logs, as well as segmenting and ingesting daily programming and commercials.

The successful candidate enjoys problem-solving, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and can perform well under pressure. The ideal candidate must be a detail-oriented team player who is eager to learn and willing to be challenged.

Technical media producers (TMP) are a mix of master control operators (MCO) and technical directors (TD). Regular responsibilities include directing newscasts and cut-ins, maintaining studio equipment, fulfilling graphic requests, live shot coordinating, writing discrepancy reports, ingesting programming, segmenting programming, monitoring on-air signals, maintaining logs, and performing other duties as assigned. In addition to the attention to detail required by an MCO, this position also requires a close working relationship with news producers to create and execute dynamic, fast-paced newscasts. This position requires a positive team player with a passion for broadcast media.
