Job description

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Mason – Brick, Block, Stone for an immediate start with a company based out of Ft. Myers area. Work will be performed at various job sites throughout Ft. Myers and surrounding area. Must be willing to travel up to 50 miles for continued work.

  • PAY: $22 – $30 per hour based on experience (may be higher)
  • PER DIEM: None
  • HOURS: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, Saturdays as needed to support job site needs
  • START DATE: Immediate
  • DURATION: Temp-to-Hire

Job Description

We are seeking experienced masons to perform commercial masonry work, including laying brick, block, and stone with quality and precision. Responsibilities include reading and following blueprints, performing tuckpointing, caulking, and masonry cleaning, and ensuring all work meets industry standards. Work will be completed at various job sites.

Responsibilities for a Block Mason:

  • Lay and install concrete blocks and masonry units
  • Mix and apply mortar
  • Measure, mark, and lay out walls according to blueprints
  • Build foundations, walls, partitions, retaining walls, and structural blockwork
  • Cut blocks to fit around doors, windows, corners, and other openings
  • Check walls for proper level, plumb, and alignment
  • Install reinforcement such as rebar when required
  • Repair or replace damaged masonry
  • Operate masonry tools, saws, mixers, grinders, and other equipment
  • Work safely around scaffolding, lifts, and construction equipment
  • Clean and finish masonry surfaces

Qualifications for a Block Mason:

  • At least 2 years of commercial masonry experience
  • Experience with commercial masonry projects
  • Skilled in laying brick, block, and stone in various applications
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience with tuckpointing, caulking, and masonry cleaning
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have reliable transportation to job sites
  • Willing to travel up to 50 miles from Sheboygan, WI
  • Must have hand tools for brick work
  • Proper use of PPE required (hard hat, safety glasses, vest, gloves)
