Job description

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dangayach Group. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Job Description:

1) Responsible for the property's overall accounting and financial management requirements.
2) Responsible for representing the finance department during daily morning HOD meetings.
3) Responsible for the local tax authority compliance of the hotel.
4) Responsible for supporting and liaising with the General Manager in meeting the strategic goals of the organization.
5) Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and operating results.
6) Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
7) Responsible for liaising with the hotel owner or managing director of the organization.
8) Able to prepare and submit management reports promptly and also ensure delivery deadlines.
9) Able to effectively implement all accounting policies and procedures.
10) Able to ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard hotel assets.
11) Able to assist proactively with cost control requirements.
12) Able to assist with revenue enhancement possibilities.
13) Able to assist with profit improvement opportunities for hotel operations.
1) Should have a high command of MS Applications like Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
2) Knowledge of Back office or accounting systems like M3, SAP, Sage, Freshbooks, etc.
3) Knowledge of Hotel Software or Property Management Systems like FIDELIO, OPERA, Protel Etc.
4) Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5) Fluent in English, both oral and written.
6) Excellent financial/business decision-making.
7) Should possess strong Financial knowledge.
8) Analytical skills and very well organized.
