Join our team as the Housekeeping Supervisor at Residence Inn Wilmington Downtown!
Imagine stepping into a role where your leadership and passion for service shape the daily operations of our team. As Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll ensure that every corner of our hotel shines with cleanliness and comfort. Whether it's managing the team in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or overseeing the meticulous upkeep of rooms and public spaces, your role will be pivotal in maintaining our hotel. If you're a hands-on leader who has a keen eye for detail, we want you on our team!
Your Role:
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our hotel's cleanliness and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and assist in managing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring smooth operations in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and hotel/brand standards are met.
  • Assist in overseeing housekeeping staff, including scheduling and payroll according to business forecasts and budget guidelines.
  • Manage inventory and order housekeeping supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste, and assist in processing invoices and purchase orders.
  • Support with the preparation of departmental budgets and financial plans.
  • Hands-on assistance with cleaning during peak periods as well as deep cleaning projects.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings, reviewing information pertinent to daily operations.
  • Supervise deep cleaning projects and assist during high-demand periods.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, safety protocols, and house rules.
  • Address guest requests, complaints, and emergencies with attentiveness and efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitization standards and protocols.
  • Assist with training and development of housekeeping staff, emphasizing "House Safety" rules and procedures.
  • Review Guest Request log daily to ensure that all requests have been met, taking proactive steps to address problems before they occur.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and any other functions required by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:
  • 2+ years of progressive housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting.
  • Marriott experience a plus.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is preferred.
